How to give a service provider a temporary account
Create a member login for a service provider, grant only the stores they need, then disable or delete the account when the work is done.
Giving a service provider a temporary account requires Pro, and only the owner or an admin can do it. The temporary account is a Member on your team: grant only the stores they need for this job. When the work ends, pauses, or they should no longer have access, Disable or Delete the account to take it back.
Don't add the service provider as an Admin. Admins can see every store, and can also manage nodes and the team.
This example uses nickname 服务商临时账号 and login account partner2026. For the general add-member and sign-in steps, see How to add a member.
Add the temporary account
- Open the Merca desktop app, sign in as the owner or an admin, and go to Team.
- Click Add member at the top right.
- Enter a Nickname, Login account, and Password. The password must be at least 8 characters.
- Set Role to Member.
- Leave Disable DevTools and Hide passwords on, so they can't open DevTools or show passwords in a store window.
- Click Add member.

After you add the member, Invite opens. Click Copy invite and send it to them. They open Merca, choose Sign in with a team account, and enter the team ID, login account, and password from the invite. For the full sign-in steps, see How to add a member.
Grant only the stores they need
A member who hasn't been assigned a store yet won't see any stores. Sign in as the owner or an admin, open My stores, click Assign access on the store they should use, set access to Read-only or Full access, then Save access.
For the full flow, see How to assign stores to a member. If you don't have a store yet, see How to add a store.
Grant only the stores they need for this job. Don't assign unrelated stores.
Take access back when the work is done
When the work ends, pauses, or they shouldn't keep store access, go back to Team and take this temporary account back.
To take back a few stores and keep the account, open Assign access on those stores and set the member to No access. You don't need to disable or delete the account.
To stop them from using any store right away, Disable or Delete the account.

Disable (can enable later)
Click Disable. The confirm dialog says this member is signed out immediately. Open store windows close within about 60 seconds. Account data is kept, and the member can be enabled later.
After you confirm, the member shows a yellow Disabled badge, and the button changes to Enable. They can't sign in. An open management window returns to the sign-in page, and store windows close within about 60 seconds.

Disable does not remove store grants, and it does not clear this account's data. If you work with them again, click Enable. Enable has no confirm dialog. They must sign in again; stores you already granted are still there.
You can't disable the owner, and you can't disable yourself.
Delete (can't be restored)
Click Delete. After you confirm, they can no longer sign in, and store grants are removed. The account leaves the team and can't be enabled later.
Delete only when they will not use this account again. If you might work with them again, disable instead.
After you disable the account, it stays on the team and Activity log is still available. See How to view the activity log.
