# How to subscribe to Pro

> Subscribe to Merca Pro as the owner, review checkout details, confirm activation, and learn what to do if the account still shows Free.

Merca Pro includes a higher store limit, team management, automation, and other Pro features. Only the **Owner** can start or manage a subscription. Admins and members can't change billing.

## Choose Pro

1. Open the Merca desktop app and sign in as the owner.
2. Open **Account** from the sidebar.
3. Scroll to **Subscription** and make sure Pro is marked **Available**.
4. Review the current price, billing period, and included features, then click **Subscribe** under Pro.

## Complete payment

Merca opens the checkout page. Choose a supported payment method and enter your payment details.

Before you submit, check that:

- The signed-in email belongs to the Merca owner who should receive Pro.
- The product, price, currency, taxes, and renewal date are correct.
- Your country or region and billing details are correct.

When everything is correct, click **Subscribe now**. The amount and renewal date shown at checkout are the ones that apply to your purchase.

## Wait for activation

After payment, Merca returns to the Account page and shows **Activating subscription**. Keep the client open while Merca confirms the payment and updates the account.

Don't submit another payment while activation is in progress.

## Confirm that Pro is active

After activation, the Account page shows:

- **Account type** is **Pro**.
- The store limit has changed to the Pro allowance.
- **Billing period** shows the next automatic renewal date.
- The Pro card is marked **Current subscription**.
- **Team** and **Automation** are available to the owner in the sidebar.

## If Pro does not activate

Click **Refresh** at the top right of the Account page, then wait a few minutes. If the account still shows Free, do not place another order. Keep your payment receipt and contact support from **Help**.
